Weather warnings on the BOM website are for the North East, South West, Central, West and South Gippsland and East Gippsland forecast districts.
Gisborne and Kyneton are listed in the Central district with showers and winds expected to hit the district today.
Forecasts and meteorologists suggest Bendigo will miss out on any more wild weather while the state prepares for another hit.
“The warnings are for just south of the ranges and Bendigo is north of that,” A Bureau of Meteorology spokeswoman said.
“We have seen some locations recording wind gusts of up to 90km/h in the west of the state.
The spokeswoman said Mt William recorded gusts of up to 106km/h while Airey’s Inlet hit 109km/h wind gusts.
For people in an areas with a weather warning, the State Emergency Service advises that people should:
- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
- Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
- Keep clear of fallen power lines.
