Mueck will play his first European tour event on overseas soil after being granted an invitation to compete in the $2.25 million Trophee Hassan II.
Mueck will take on some of the world’s best golfers on the par-72 Royal Golf Dar Es Salam course.
The entry list includes Sweden’s Robert Karlsson, Italian star Matteo Manassero, Frenchman Alexander Levy and English young gun Eddie Pepperell.
Scotland’s Richie Ramsay, German Marcel Siem and England’s David Horsey are past winners of the tournament.
Victory in the event would give Mueck his biggest paycheck and, more importantly, an exemption to the European tour, the second most lucrative golfing tour in the world behind the US PGA Tour.
A top 10 finish would earn Mueck a nice payday and possibly open doors to further invitations to European tournaments this year.
Mueck enters the tournament in Morocco in solid form, having finished inside the top 20 at the WA Open over the weekend.
Mueck looked set for a top-10 finish, but a one-over par 71 in the final round saw him slip down the leaderboard. Bogeys on the first three holes of his final round put Mueck on the back foot, but he rebounded well to secure a tied for 19th finish.
