Bendigo band Jack and the Kids had an unforgettable experience on Saturday.
The Triple J Unearthed act took to the Groovin the Moo stage at 11.45am and played a great set.
Lead singer Jack Kennedy said the group was really grateful for the opportunity.
“It would have been nice to have another 10 minutes but we were just really grateful to have the slot we did, it was a great experience,” he said.
“Despite the weather on the day, punters just wanted some music, which was good.”
Stepping out onto the Triple J stage was also less stressful for the band thanks to the support crew backstage.
“It wasn't as nerve-racking as I thought it would be,” Kennedy said.
“Everyone backstage was really nice. We had five guys helping us set up, so it was very nice to walk out and have (everything) set up. It can be stressful at times.”
Kennedy said the band’s strong performance was thanks to so much practice.
“We have been rehearsing twice were really happy with it,” he said.
