Time that would have been spent on a train or in a car was spent studying.
- Lauren Andrews
Lauren Andrews, Jessica Burrows and Ginevra Johnson sat through the classes together, and Ms Andrews said being able to study locally had been a huge benefit.
“Time that would have been spent on a train or in a car was spent studying,” she said.
Ms Andrews has since secured a position as regional and rural affairs strategist at the bank on the back of her MBA, and is hoping to use her new found skills to push for increased gender diversity.
“I was able to move into another field and push myself,” she said.
“The other thing I’m looking forward to is to serve as director on a board and help address gender diversity that way.”
Ms Andrews said she hoped to be a role model for other women.
“I think it’s really important that more women get out there and put their best foot forwards with regards to pursuing senior management positions and I think doing an MBA is a really fantastic way to go about doing that,” she said.
