From Thursday, April 14, to Sunday, April 17, the $110 adoption fee for cats will be dropped, to give more moggies a chance at finding a new home.
Kitten season has been under way for several months, leading to the large number of cats up for adoption.
Older cats are often overlooked during this time, and there are more than 200 adult cats in adoption and Pets Place centres across the state.
Every cat up for adoption is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated, and care is taken to ensure the cat and its prospective owner are well-matched.
