FAMILIES are out in force for the traditional Easter Gala Parade in Bendigo.
Among the hordes waiting patiently in Pall Mall for the parade to start are the Jones family from Bendigo.
Brothers Brady and Charlie Jones are gearing up for their fourth Easter parade.
They were among thousands of people who turned out for Saturday night's Torchlight Lantern Procession.
Brady, Charlie and their father Leigh arrived shortly before 11am to get their spot in their crowd.
Brady, who goes to school at St Francis of the Fields in Strathfieldsaye, said he was most looking forward to the dragons.
"I like being here (at the parade) for Easter - I like being with my family," the nine-year-old said.
"We settle down and relax and the parade comes along and we watch it. It's fun."
His brother Charlie said he too was looking forward to the dragons.
The boys' father Leigh Jones said he had " lost count" of how many parades he had attended after growing up in Bendigo.
"I came as a kid, then had a few years off when we went away for Easter holidays, but we're vack again," he said.
"It's fantastic. The crowds looking big. Easter Sunday is better than the Easter Monday.
"The kids came last night with their grandmother, but it's just us three boys today."
