As you enjoy yourself in Bendigo this Easter weekend make sure you spend a few minutes taking part in a project which aims to create an artistic masterpiece for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games – and stamp out family violence in our society.
The One Million Stars to End Violence pavilion will be set up in Rosalind Park today and Saturday from 9am through 5pm and is inviting anyone and everyone to drop in and get involved.
Volunteer Emma Boxshall said there had been 50 made in the first few hours of Friday morning.
“So I think if we make 1000 that would be a great weekend,” Ms Boxshall said.
“Anyone can come along and get involved.
“For beginners, it normally takes about 10 minutes to do their first star.”
