Ronald Lyons, 43, applied for bail in the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
The court has confirmed his application was successful and he was released on conditional bail.
During his first court appearance on February 15, Lyons spoke of his desire to get out on bail as soon as possible.
Peter James Arthur, 44, remains in custody charged with the murder of Ms Kelly on or around January 20.
Lyons’ ex-partner Christine Anne Lyons, 44, is also in custody charged with being an accessory to murder.
The Bendigo Magistrates’ Court was told on February 15 that she suffers from an intellectual disability that could make her vulnerable in custody.
Police allege Arthur murdered Ms Kelly with a hammer in the Kangaroo Flat property they all shared together.
Ronald and Christine Lyons are alleged to have concocted a story with Mr Arthur to conceal the killing, with Mr Lyons allegedly helping to remove the body to a van.
Arthur led police to the site of Ms Kelly’s body in Shelbourne on February 11, when the trio were charged in relation to her death.
They are all scheduled to re-appear in the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on June 22.
