The Tigers - led by coach Lisa Borg - resumed training earlier this month, ahead of the start of the division five season in late April or early May.
After a difficult first season, Borg said things were looking up for the Tigers who have nearly 15 players already committed to lining up in the yellow and black.
"We didn't win a game (in 2015) but our results improved from the first round to the last round," she said.
"With our numbers, we had to forfeit one or two games, so that was hard.
"But the girls loved it and most of them are back and ready to go again."
Borg, who returned to Kyneton to help establish the club after a long and successful association with Sunbury that included 150 games, believed the Tigers were far better placed this year after their tough initiation.
"We had 90 per cent of players who had never played before, now we have 90 per cent who have played and know what's expected," she said.
"We have a year up our sleeves and a few more girls interested from Daylesford and elsewhere.
"So there's some interest about the place. Things are definitely on the up."
Putting a few wins on the board to match the off-field enthusiasm is a key early season objective for the Tigers.
Pre-season training kicked-off in November and has returned each Monday and Wednesday on the lower oval at Kyneton Showgrounds.
Sessions will move to the main showgrounds oval from next month.
Borg said the club attracted a few new sponsors for 2016 and had forged a strong partnership with the Kyneton netballers, which included a few joint-training sessions.
The second year-coach will be backed by assistant coach Ben Muir and hoped to have enough regular players to be focus on being a non-playing mentor.
Borg, who played her junior football at Kyneton until age 14, said she was delighted with the progress being made in the women's game.
"It's crazy. When I started there was hardly any teams, but it's amazing how far things have come in the 14 years I've been involved,” she said.
"It's awesome. I wish it happened earlier."
