BENDIGO Lawn Quest jumped back into the premier league’s top four after it outpointed South Bendigo in Saturday’s 16th round of the Bendigo Tennis Association season.

The battle between the fourth and fifth-placed teams was among many highs in the Quest Apartments-backed pennant.
Quest led 25-19 after it won the opening three doubles contests on the hardcourts at the Bendigo Bank tennis complex in Nolan Street.
The number one singles ended in a 6-1 1-6 10-7 victory for Isaac Watson against South’s Corbin Fleming.
Quest was well in control after Ben Linn’s 12-2 win against Frank Ryan.
South hit back through wins by Ryan Brook and Bronwyn Osborne, but Quest won two of the final three doubles matches to claim an 11-92 to 4-74 victory.
The second-placed Bendigo Lawn Rising was put under extreme pressure by Epsom.
Despite being on the bottom rung of the ladder, Epsom showed its no pushover as Rising fought on to win 8-84 to 8-81.
Epsom made a hot start to the clash.
Wins in the opening three doubles included an 8-2 victory by Travis Johnston and Matt Symons against Jordan Hicks and Jayd Davis.
The number one and two singles matches were hard-fought.
Hicks beat Symons, 4-6 6-1 10-4, and Davis defeated Johnston, 6-2 4-6 11-9.
In the lower-order singles, Epsom’s Nick Bath and Greg Guy were victorious as Simon Kelly and Bree Smith did the same for Rising.
The ladder-leading Spring Gully Butterflies scored a 15-game win against Strathfieldsaye.
Highs for Strathfieldsaye included a 6-3 6-2 win for Jadyen Blencowe against Matt Hartland.
Strathfieldsaye team-mates Michael Smyth struck back from a 6-0 defeat in the opening set to beat Ryan Leader, 6-2 10-4.
Jessica Hartland and Dominic Barton were unbeaten in the three matches they played for the Butterflies.

Spring Gully Phoenix scored a straight-sets victory, 10-81 to 0-33, against Bendigo Lawn Stingers.
Sensation defeated Blue, 8-79 to 2-38 in another showdown between the Bendigo Lawn line-ups.
