The blossoming all-rounder was a part of the Victorian team which won a silver medal in the 12 and under girls championship in Brisbane.
Jas, as she is known by family, friends and teammates, was a solid contributor for the Victorians, who lost only one game during the week against undefeated champions New South Wales.
Victoria started the championships with a 26-run win against South Australia, before comprehensively beating ACT.
Jas was in devastating form with the ball against ACT, claiming 2-9 off four overs, including one maiden.
She followed up with 2-10 off four overs in a loss to New South Wales, which made 177 to Victoria's 9-119.
Jas was not required at the bowling crease as Victoria routed Western Australia for 29 in reply to Victoria's 8-139.
She finished the championships in style, taking 1-5 off four overs, including one maiden, as Victoria dismissed host team Queensland for 118 and made 5-129 in reply.
Jas, who started secondary schooling this week at Marist College Bendigo, earned praise for her consistent and economical bowling.
Mother Jodie Nevins said despite the sapping heat and humidity in Brisbane, Jas and her Victorian teammates had relished the opportunity to represent their state.
"Even the locals were bandying around the word 'heatwave'," she said.
"Jas loved it and really enjoyed the cricket and mixing with her teammates and the other teams.
"At the lunch break the teams sat together. It was a really good team environment."
Jas, who is the daughter of Inglewood Cricket Club stalwart Luke Nevins, will continue her cricket each Saturday as a member of the Kangaroo Flat under 14s team.
Next year’s School Sport Australia Cricket Championships will be played in Canberra in early January.
Cricket Victoria is currently taking player nominations from schools across Victoria.
