Keeley was born with Angelman Syndrome, a rare condition that affects her global development. She also has epilepsy and needs a wheelchair to go on outings.
Her mother cares for her and her older brother who has muscular dystrophy and is permanently confined to an electric wheelchair.
Event co-ordinator Lee said Keeley has no government assistance and needs regular hydrotherapy lessons to develop her motor skills.
Money raised would go to her family to help get Keeley the assistance and equipment she needs.
“I have worked in disability for 20 years and have contacts in case management through the Bendigo Healthcare Group,” Lee said.
“I got in touch with them because we wanted to help one child that needed assistance.
“Because (health care) funding is being cut back at the moment, there aren’t many packages for kids out there who need help.
“That’s why all the money goes raised to (Keeley’s family) rather than an organisation who might only give her part of it.”
The Roll the Dice Run for Keeley will take place on Saturday, January 16.
It follows a route through central Victoria with checkpoints where participants roll dice and tally their score through the ride.
More than 100 riders and participants have signed up already.
Central Victoria American Motorcycle Club president Matrix said previous runs had raised thousands of dollars for other community groups and charities.
“We used to do fundraising for prostate cancer quite a bit but this time we want to (raise money) for a local girl because she doesn’t get much government assistance,” he said.
Entry to the Dice Run cost $30. It starts at 10am at the Golden Hills Motel in Marong Road.
For more information about the ride or to donate to the Roll the Dice Run for Keeley phone 0421 853 185.
Receipts will be issued for all donations made.
