One of the organisers, Ajay Kumar, from Bendigo Indians, said anyone was welcome to attend the dinner.
“Our main motive is to bring the Bendigo community together to bring more understanding and harmony,” he said.
“It is a ticketed family event and the invitation is open to all communities.
“There will be dancers from all corners of India, music and food. There are many dance and fun items for kids.”
The event will be held from 4pm to 8pm at Strathdale Community Hall in Crook Street on Sunday.
Tickets are $25 per person and family tickets begin at $50. An extra $10 will be charged for tickets bought at the door.
Tickets are available from Indian Asian Grocers, Bendigo Spice and Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services.
