People love them so much that a cheap alternative, the slip ‘n slide, is often featured in family backyards.
But a 325 metre monster waterslide is set to take over View Street in Bendigo on Sunday, January 24.
The City Slider will set up between Rowan and High streets with co-founder Stuart Harris saying the slide would be a centrepiece to a great family day out.
“We want the whole city to have a good time, we want to create a huge, family friendly street party with a 325m water slide as the centrepiece,” Mr Harris said.
“We want the community to come out and enjoy it. Enjoy the music, enjoy the food and enjoy the slide.”
Tickets are limited however and can be booked via www.thecityslider.com.au
An early bird 90 minute session costs $29 and includes inflatable tube hire. A regular 90 minute session is $35 (including inflatable tube hire). Sessions begin at 9am with the final session closing at 8.30pm.
