Adam Bourke – My best tip for the day is local galloper Money Clip in race five. He is an exciting sprinter and should be right in the finish. Opened at $3 on fixed odds – wouldn’t want to take anything shorter than that.
My best roughie for the day is Surge Ahead in race nine. Former Sydney galloper who has had two runs in Victoria. Caught the eye late last start at Bendigo and can run a bold race here at big odds.
Kieran Iles – The Mark Kavanagh-trained Amity Island looks a great chance in race three. Was a huge run in a maiden on Benalla Cup day and the step up to 1400m looks ideal.
My value runner is Sharcade in race six. He is first up from a spell, but he did win over 1200m last campaign. The David Hayes-Tom Dabernig team is flying at the moment.
Luke West – Can’t go past Kirramosa in the Bendigo Cup as the best bet. She looks to be the class runner.
The best value of the day is for the Essendon fans in the last race. General James won last start and he can win again at Bendigo.
Bendigo Cup selections –
Adam Bourke: Kirramosa from Araldo Junior and The Offer. Kieran Iles: Divan from Kareeming and Kirramosa. Luke West: Kirramosa from Leebaz and Maygrove. Lady Luck: Tooleybuc Kid from Wexford Town and Thunder Set.
