Almost $860 million dollars worth of building permits were reported to the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) as issued in the City of Greater Bendigo, compared with the $509 million reported in 2013-14.
It sees Greater Bendigo climb into the top 10 municipalities by value of building permits in 2014-15.
Melbourne tops the list with $3.28 billlion, $2 billlion more than Geelong in second spot.
Bendigo’s $860 million is ninth behind Monash ($1.03 billion) but ahead of Yarra $761 million).
