After losing to YCW by five goals in the qualifying final a fortnight earlier, the Demons responded strongly, belting the Eagles 34-19.
The Demons advance to next Saturday’s grand final where they’ll face minor premier Pyramid Hill.
The Demons have had a superb season on the netball court, with four teams qualifying for grand finals.
The preliminary final continued YCW’s goal scoring woes. In three finals games this year the Eagles scored 24, 24 and 19 goals.
It was a bad day all round for YCW. The Eagles lost the A-grade, B-grade, C-grade and 15-and-under preliminary finals.

Meanwhile, Colbinabbin scored its 14th win in a row to force its way into the Heathcote District Netball Association A-grade grand final.
In a repeat of last year’s second semi-final, Colbinabbin upstaged minor premier North Bendigo 38-32 to be the first team into the grand final.
The Grasshoppers, who were 1-3 after four rounds this season, stamped their authority on the game with a 13-7 first quarter. They extended their lead to eight at half-time and, despite North’s gallant attempt to get back into the game, Colbo had all the answers.
North Bendigo will be hoping history repeats. The Bulldogs lost the second semi-final last year but went on to defeat Colbo in the grand final.
To make the grand final, North Bendigo will need to defeat White Hills in this Saturday’s preliminary final.
The Demons kept their season alive with a hard-fought 39-34 win over Leitchville-Gunbower in Sunday’s first semi-final.
The Demons held the edge over Leitchville in the regular season, but Sunday’s final proved to be much tighter than many expected.
After a tight first quarter. the Demons edged ahead by three in the second quarter and extended that lead to six going into the final term. The Bombers battled hard in the final quarter but the margin was too great.
