Meldrum won the A-grade most valuable player award with 20 votes, three clear of his teenage team-mate Parsons.
While Meldrum won the major award, Parsons was the most prominent player for the season.
Young enough to play in the under-16s, Parsons was runner-up in the A-grade MVP, runner-up in the B-grade MVP, won the rookie of the year award, won the A-grade batting average with an average of .409, won the John Newman Pitching Award with 0.67 earned run average and won the B-grade coaches award.
The other highlight of the night was the induction of six people into the Bendigo Baseball Association Hall of Fame.
Players Cec Riley, John Polglase, Graham Millar, administrators Terry Evans and Joyce Svanosio and representative John Cameron joined 22 previous inductees in the Hall Of Fame.
