The Human Mechanics, Just FDI Bootcamps, Redemption Boxing Gym, Punches n Bunches, Crossfit By Design, 3T Fitness and Doherty's have signed up.
Secret Men’s Business raises awareness of anxiety and depression in men.
It encourages men to get active in the gym and catch up with other guys in a 12-week health and fitness program.
Founder Arj Perera began the program in 2014 and registered it as a charity this year.
“It’s important Bendigo gets behind this charity,” Mr Perera said.
“We already have notoriety through Fitness Australia and people running the program in Queensland and Western Australia so need Bendigo to get behind SMB.
“SMB is Bendigo grown and like anything major (in Bendigo) the more community gets behind it the more successful it will be.
Perera is hoping to have 60 gyms signed up for the program by the time the program starts in September.
“Doherty's were first on board, they are the only commercial facility to do it,” Mr Perera said.
“Hopefully more smaller providers who can take on a group of (20).”
Doherty’s Gym Bendigo owner Danny McQuinn said the gym was a great supporter of mental and physical health and wellbeing.
“We ourselves are on a fitness crusade and we support fitness for everybody,” he said.
“It gives us great pleasure to be the only commercial gym in Bendigo supporting SMB.
Mr McQuinn said the gym got involved because the cause is close to its ideals.
“It is a great opportunity for Dohertys Gym to give something back,” he said.
“Arj Perera at The Human Mechanics shares our passion in health and fitness so it was an easy partnership.”
The SMB program costs $20 per week and sees trainers donate their time to participants.
