They are also looking for an accomplice.
The two men were involved in altercation with the two occupants of a Wade Lane street house about 3.15am.
The men left the scene, but returned about 15 minutes later and fired at three shots at the house.
It is believed the men were travelling in a stolen vehicle.

UPDATE 11.25PM: Bendigo police are continuing to investigate reports of two shots being fired in Wade Lane, Golden Square, overnight.
Bendigo CIU Senior Sergeant Jason Poulton said it followed an argument between four men at about 3.15am.
It is believed two men visiting the house got into a confrontation with two male occupants.
The men left the scene but returned about 15 minutes later and fired three shots into the house.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Senior Sergeant Poulton said police were still trying to establish the identity of the two men.
He said the occupants of the house were assisting police with inquiries.

EARLIER, Bendigo police are investigating reports of gun shots being fired in a Golden Square street overnight.
Police have taped off an area surrounding a house in Wade Lane.
Bendigo criminal investigation unit detectives, including ballistics personnel, were on the scene on Thursday morning.
Police had earlier doorknocked the area.
A residents in the street reported hearing no shots.
