The 25.14 (164) to 4.2 (26) win was the club’s 31st victory in a row, breaking Golden Square’s record of 30 set in 2011-12.
The Storm had few concerns on Sunday, sealing the win with a seven-goal to none first term.
“It was good to make such a bright start so that we dented Maryborough’s confidence,’’ Storm coach Darryl Wilson said.
“We rolled on from there, but to Maryborough’s credit they stuck at it and their third quarter was very good.”
Lachlan Bonney played one of his best games for the Storm, kicking four goals from the midfield. Key forwards Tom Bartholomew and Matthew Ferguson kicked six goals each and Stephen Milne added four.
Teenager Billy Mahony was clearly Maryborough’s best player. The young Magpie gave the Storm plenty of headaches with his clearance work.
