A TOTAL of 386 cattle came forward this week. The quality was again very mixed, with the cold, wintry conditions really starting to show on the majority of the cattle presented.

Prices this week stayed very firm and dearer across some of the yarding.
A of good yarding of veal and young cattle came forward. The top vealer reached $3.19 per kilo, holding fully firm to 5 cents dearer than last week.
Heavy steers were i good supply and condition was good. Prices were excellent, with the top steer reaching $3.02 cents per kilo, holding firm to 3 cents dearer to the last market.
Medium to heavy steers were in good supply as well. The top steer reached $3.05 per kilo.
A good size yarding of cows came forward, with the top cow reaching $2.46 per kilo, 10 to 12 cents dearer than the previous market.
Due to Lifetime Traceability scanning, cattle must be delivered to the saleyards by 9pm. All cattle must carry a NLIS ear tag before being transported.
