THE world snooker spotlight turns to Bendigo this week for the Australian Snooker Goldfields Open.
Six of the top 10 snooker players in the world have converged on Bendigo Stadium to battle for $500,000 in prize money.
The tournament will be watched by millions around the world, with the event broadcast live across Asia and Europe and throughout Australia on Fox Sports.
Australian star Neil Robertson will carry local hopes. The former world champion starts his campaign on Tuesday night against Englishman Matthew Selt.
