All senior football matches have been routinely filmed since the start of the 2014 season and the footage used to improve player accountability and as a coaching tool.
"In the future we would like to move along the lines that the A-grade netball will be videoed as well," said BFNL manager Carol Cathcart.
"This offers a lot of opportunities from an athlete and coach development point of view.
"They can review what is occurring and set up training strategies and practices to combat other teams. It can also help players who are visual learners."
Cathcart - who was Netball Australia's high performance manager and coach of the national 21-under team before taking on the BFNL role - said video technology had helped local football become cleaner on the field and also proved useful as an off-field feedback tool.
"This is all really important for the league to continue becoming more professional."
The league is also looking at introducing minimum standards governing the conditions and opportunities that football-netball clubs offer their players, as well as what the league should provide in return.
In conjunction with AFL Victoria's proposed state-wide salary cap and player points system, the move aims to create sustainable community clubs that attract and retain local members.
