CRATE MAN has made his triumphant return to the Bendigo limelight, this time appearing to put his support behind the Discovery Science and Technology Centre.
In a silent vigil - or silent protest perhaps - the recycled recluse is standing proud overlooking the Marketplace car park with green arms firmly outstretched.
While the car park was sparse in the early, foggy Bendigo morning on Wednesday, his appearance is sure to delight shoppers and morning wanderers alike.
It could also put even more of a spotlight on the plight of the Discovery centre, earmarked for closure on July 12.
Having first appeared as a novelty figure for passersby, Crate Man has branched out to more dangerous territory in recent years, providing his biting social commentary to some of Bendigo's biggest issues.
In October last year, he took a seat at the infamous $30,000 bench on Mitchell Street, an apparent slight at our elected representatives.
Like usual, Crate Man could not comment to the Bendigo Advertiser about his latest appearance, clearly preferring to let his actions speak louder than his words.
