The duck goes by the name of D-CK and has already gate crashed a Bendigo news conference by country music superstar Troy Cassar-Daley and been a regular at tourist attractions such as Lake Weeroona and Ulumbarra Theatre.
D-CK appeared at the Bendigo Advertiser reception this week demanding media coverage.
''Some people think I’m a lost soul but I’m not, I’m D-CK,’’ he said.
''I’m hot property.
''I’m a real prize.
''Bendigo is the greatest place on earth. Who wouldn’t want to live here and buy a house or rent a home here. It fits the bill for me.
''It’s just a great place to wade into life and keep your head above water.
''A great place to just get lost in and enjoy life.''
D-CK said he was well connected to important people such as Rick Dungey and Steve Carter.
He also talked up a close association with others who once held him in high esteem including Kelly Bardsley, Karly Dickson, Jenny Donaldson, Caroline Baldock, Jessica Hemming, Melissa Williams, Steve Parry, Linda Hurley, Kevin Foley, Sharon Chamouras and Marc Cox.
He said catching up again with good friend Mary Agnew would be a great reward.
