They were fighting each other on and off for hundreds of years.
The history of Europe is a long list of different wars and uprisings.
Industrial revolution which has taken place in modern times has increased further yet the existing racial, national and social friction.
It created armies of robot-like workers who were uniting in a struggle for better life.
The general public was sympathetic with their plight, but they chose the wrong way to overcome it.
Workers' movements became joined and dominated by ambitious individuals who were seeking power.
In some economically weak countries they have managed to defeat the agrarian, feudal regimes.
In Russia workers seized total power by revolution in 1917 and nationalised all privately owned land and enterprises.
Opponents of the communistic regime have been executed, put in concentration camps, used as slave labour, or forced to leave the country.
There were workers' demonstrations and uprisings taking place in other parts of Europe as well.
In Germany workers toppled the existing government and gained total power in 1933.
In order to increase employment and to restore the military power of Germany, they started to mass produce arms.
This led to World War II, which displaced, interned, wounded, or killed millions of people.
While the leaders were enjoying power and luxury, poor workers and their families were losing their lives, or been subjected to increased hardships.
When World War II finished, we hoped that people had learned their lesson and it would be the end of all fighting.
But wars, revolutions, terrorism and barbaric cruelty are going on as strong as ever in many parts of the world.
