It was the usual hustle and bustle as shoppers strolled the aisles - sampling fresh produce, condiments, meat and other homegrown products.
David Tatman owns Spring Creek Organics. His farm is about 10 minutes from Ballarat.
Mr Tatman has been selling his fresh produce and organic vegetables at the Bendigo market for a good part of its five-year history.
It is been good. It's a steady, regular market. It had a lull maybe one or two years ago but this year has been really fantastic. It's gone better for us than it ever has been," he said.
Mr Tatman, who sells at about 20 farmers' market a month, said Bendigo's was one of the best and it had a strong future moving forward.
"For markets out of Melbourne, it's really good. It's become a bit of an institution and if it disappeared it would leave a hole," he said.
The market is held on the second Saturday of each month at Sidney Myer Place at the end of Williamson Street in Bendigo's central business district.
