Mr Drum said the result was fantastic for the players.
“Given that the club self-reported its concerns two years ago, and given the club was stripped of a place in the 2013 finals series over this, and given also that players had served a provisional suspension in recent months, I think all football fans feel this issue has finally been put to bed,'' he said.
“The announcement is a great result for football in general and gives the AFL the boost it needs leading into Thursday night’s season opener.
“Without having seen the tribunal report in detail, I am unaware of the reasons for its decision, however, I think it would be an absolute blight on the system if the Australian Sport Anti-Doping Authority was to drag this out through any appeal process.”
ASADA is yet to decide.
