Tweed Sutherland managing director Craig Tweed announced the merger on Tuesday afternoon.

"The merger of Curnow Dyett, which was first established in 1892, and owned by the Dyett family since 1946, with Tweed Sutherland First National, is an historic day in the development and growth of our company,'' Mr Tweed said. 

"Curnow Dyett's principal, Noel Dyett will join us as a real estate consultant bringing his many years of experience and expertise in all facets of real estate, but especially in retail, commercial and industrial sales and management.''

Mr Dyett said he was excited by the merger.

"Our agencies have a combined business experience in Bendigo of over 150 years and the merger is a good fit, given the similarities in commercial property portfolios and professional approach to real estate,'' he said.

''I am excited about our future relationship."

Tweed Sutherland director Darryn O'Keefe said Mr Dyett was highly regarded having been a past president of the Real Estate Institute of Australia and the Real Estate Institute of Victoria.

''We look forward to Noel's contribution to Tweed Sutherland First National Real Estate,'' he said.
