CCS would like to convey to the organisers of the dinner what an enjoyable and informative evening it was for our staff who attended.
One of the strongest messages of the evening was that, “The only way anger and bigotry can be defeated is with knowledge”.
Certainly there was much to be learned from the speakers on the panel, and particularly from Professor Gary Bouma’s presentation.
The opportunity to share a meal and an evening with such a diverse and interesting group of people, in the spirit of peace and understanding, was greatly appreciated by our staff.
I am sure the positive experiences of those who attended the Multi-Faith Dinner will be shared with the wider community.
Thank you to all involved with the organisation of the dinner and to the speakers.
We look forward to attending next year’s event and in the meantime, continuing to celebrate the diversity of the Bendigo community.
