The 19-year-old, who made the switch from football to basketball, has represented Victoria on three occasions.
Mangan has also participated in the national intensive training program and has been selected to take part in an under-17 Australian camp.
“I'm really enjoying being back on a basketball court and looking forward to a great season ahead with the Braves," he said.
"They are a very talented group and I’m happy to be a part of the team in their 30th year."
Braves head coach Ben Harvey said he was excited to see Mangan make a return to basketball.
"He is a talented scorer and an incredible athlete," he said.
"We look forward to seeing how he advances through the year, he is certainly a big part of the Bendigo Braves future."
Mangan will be wearing the number 10 jersey for the Braves this season.
Former player Mick Spear will be handing over his retired number to the rising star.
"Jordan is a quality kid, from a quality family," Spear said.
"I have had the privilege of coaching his sisters and watching him play his junior career here in Bendigo.
"I wish him all the best for his first season."
