Despite being outnumbered by a few thousand parochial Fire fans, the Spirit army of about 45 will no doubt make sure their presence is felt on Sunday afternoon.
Dedicated quartet Sharon Bonazza, Tracey Skate, Craig Dilks and Georgia Crawford-Smith have been to every home game this season and have also travelled to Melbourne and Canberra to watch their beloved team in action.
They say they will be cheering every point, every possession and every play in the decider.
Bonazza said on the eve of the final she was feeling excited, but on game day the nerves will start to kick-in.
“They need to play four quarters,” Bonazza said.
“They need to have good defence the whole game and need to stay out of foul trouble.
“We need to get in front early and keep the Townsville fans out of it and just play our game.”
Bonazza said they would do their best to match it with the Townsville fans.
“Our girls have said that the crowd really lifts them and I have no doubt that applies to every team, so if we can get in front and stay in front and not make it a close game the crowd will be quiet,” she said.
“We will do our best to be loud and proud.”
The dedicated fan said the Spirit had an incredible chance of winning its third consecutive championship.
“A three peat in any sport is difficult, but to keep the team together and to have that hunger is important,” Bonazza said.
“We are very proud that Bendigo is on the national stage and not only on the stage, but winning as well.
We are very proud that Bendigo is on the national stage.

“They are really good chance to win.”
Fellow fan Tracey Skate said she has been a fan of the Spirit since its inception.
She is tipping Bendigo to win by seven points.
"It is a shame that the game isn't happening here, but it would be phenomenal to see them win," Skate said.
