Ian Morley was, naturally, incensed by the increase he witnessed in such a short space of time.
Not only is this a prime example of the report released last week showing fuel prices are not being passed on quickly enough to regional Australian motorists, but it raises the obvious question: Why did the price rise by 15 cents in one day?
Ian Morley was, naturally, incensed by the increase he witnessed in such a short space of time.
City of Greater Bendigo mayor Peter Cox has called on the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to take action on fuel price discrepancies between cities and regional areas.
And he is right to be disappointed that so far, the council has only received a generic letter in response to its call for a "plain English statement" on why there's a difference in fuel prices between Melbourne and Bendigo.
The mayor said the petrol industry was taking regional drivers for a ride.
If Mr Morley's observations are anything to go by, then Cr Cox is right.
