POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault which is alleged to have taken place in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police said a 19-year-old man was walking alone near the intersection of Napier Street and Cambridge Crescent in White Hills when he was approached by three Caucasian males in their 20s.
After a short conversation, the men began to walk away but one then punched the alleged victim in the head and knocked him to the ground before all three assaulted him further.
The assault is believed to have occured between 12.30am and 4am.
Police said the alleged victim was believed to have been knocked unconscious during the attack. He has received treatment for cuts and grazes.
