East and the Hawks will meet in the division one preliminary final at Bendigo.
The winner will face Bendigo in next Sunday's grand final.
Minor premier Eaglehawk suffered an 18-shot loss to Bendigo in last week's qualifying final to use up its second chance.
"It was disappointing to lose last week, but we'll learn from that," Eaglehawk skipper Simon Carter said on Friday.
"All the boys have worked really hard on the track this week and we know what's at stake and we'll be giving it everything.
"We need to get more bowls in the head on Saturday and we've got to tighten up across all four rinks and if we do that, we're confident we can get the job done."
Last Saturday's loss to Bendigo came after the Hawks had finished 26 points clear at the top of the ladder.
"We had a really good season leading into the finals, but we've got to get it done in the finals when it counts," Carter said.
"Everyone plays to play in the finals and win finals, so that's what we've got to set ourselves for on Saturday."
A win on Saturday would propel the Hawks into their 12th grand final in the past 14 years.
To get through to the grand final and avoid a straight-sets capitulation, the Hawks must overcome rivals East.
Bendigo East last week knocked out defending premier Golden Square by 18 shots in the elimination final, and three weeks ago thrashed Eaglehawk by 31 shots in round 13.
"We proved a few weeks ago that if we play our best we can beat them, but it obviously all comes down to Saturday," Bendigo East coach Brad Holland said.
"We feel we're getting better each week and hopefully, we can continue that on Saturday."
This season: Round 6 - Eaglehawk 99 d Bendigo East 80.
Round 13 - Bendigo East 113 d Eaglehawk 82.
Prediction: Eaglehawk by 8 shots.
