The workshops are part of the City of Greater Bendigo's Economic Development Strategy.
The series will include four seminars and 10 webinars, all facilitated by business coach Paul Henshall.
City of Greater Bendigo business development manager Peter Jeffery said about 85 per cent of businesses in Bendigo employ less than five staff.
He said as a collective small business was the largest provider of employment in central Victoria and growth was vital moving forward.
"The city’s economic development unit is committed to offering local businesses the opportunity to access high quality, relevant information on general topics from respected business mentors that will enhance their business skills," he said.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for local participants to access high quality, relevant information designed for regional businesses from a respected local business mentor with international recognition for free."
Mr Jeffery said the first seminar would provide information on how to attract and retain customers and would take place on February 19 at 5pm at La Trobe University Bendigo Visual Arts Centre.
He said the second seminar would focus on business growth and is on March 19.
Both seminars will be repeated in August.
The webinars will start on February 10 and will run monthly until the end of the year. Topics covered include re-igniting the fire in your business, get the clients you really want, increase your profitability, the right person in the right job, if only everyone in the team did it like me and more.
Business owners who want to attend the seminars or take part in the webinars should register online at www.businessreeducation.com.au
