The course is designed to fit around the volunteering, working and family lives of emergency services volunteers.
It is run under the auspices of Chisholm Institute of TAFE and successful participants receive the nationally recognised Certificate IV in Frontline Management.
The course includes units on decision making, planning, safety and risk management, team effectiveness, project management and engaging the community.
The VFBV Leadership Program has already produced 200 graduates who find it has added to their professional skills as emergency volunteers, as well as benefiting their day-to-day work and their communities.
