As a regular patient (most years) at St John of God Hospital, I am extremely appreciative of the excellent care provided by the doctors, nurses, catering staff and other services, and the administration.
Because of the very advanced technology used in operating theatres etc., there are very high expenses to be met – quite apart from the salaries of all staff, food, electricity and other necessary services.
I have contributed to Australian Unity Hospital Fund for very many years (without the fund having to recompense hospitals, doctors etc. for most of those years).
Now, when I am a patient at St John of God, most of the expenses are met by Australian Unity using the “gap” system. The care and expertise provided by all the staff at St. John of God is of the very highest standard.
