THE pursuit of more success for Bendigo cycling stars Peta Mullens, Tayla Evans and Chris Hamilton will roll on across roads and mountains in an action-packed racing calendar.
All three capped superb feats at the Cycling Australia road titles held in Ballarat and Buninyong.
Mullens won gold in the elite women's race and silver in the criterium.
Evans earned bronze in the under-23 women's criteirum and was fifth in the road race.
Hamilton struck gold on Ballarat's streets in the under-23 men's criterium.
Now the focus is on road tours or mountain bike duels.
Hamilton and Mullens will contest round two in the national mountain bike series at Pemberton in Western Australia on January 24-25.
Points from the national MTB series, World Cup legs and other races will be in the sights of Hamilton and Mullens in this year's races around the globe.
Mullens, the newly-crowned national road champion, who has rejoined Wiggle Honda's road team, said her mindset toward racing was vastly different to a year ago.
"Being more aggressive and positive in races is important. It's all about working for and making the most of opportunities.
"Being daring can pay off."
Evans, 20, will race for Bicycle Superstore from this Saturday in the four-day Tour Down Under in South Australia.
"It's the first time the women's Tour Down Under is part of the national road series," Evans said on Tuesday.
Evans said confidence was up after the national road titles.
"The biggest challenge is working on racing smarts (tactics)."
A couple of weeks after racing in WA, Hamilton will be back on the road racing in the Jayco Herald-Sun Tour for the first time.
The 19-year-old said being with Avanti Racing since the start of 2014 helped a lot in terms of training and race plans.
"My main focus is mountain biking and being in the team for the Rio Olympics."
