Best-known for his feats in mountain bike racing, Hamilton outpointed and outsprinted rivals on Ballarat's streets.
The confidence the Avanti team member gained from fourth placing in Monday's finale to the Mitchelton Bay Classic series on Williamstown's streets rolled on.
In Ballarat it was Hamilton who featured in an early breakaway and later joined forces with David Edwards to stay clear of the chasing pack in the race for the under-23 title.
Hamilton powered to victory ahead of Edwards and Jesse Kerrison.
