He said he hoped to study commerce or arts at either Melbourne Uni or Australian National University in Canberra.
"I would love to be a lawyer but I just want to get a feel for lots of different things, too," he said.
"It has been a really busy year."
I feel enormously proud of this boy, but not just him...
- Matthew Maruff
Headmaster Matthew Maruff said Thomas remained very humble though he had achieved so much.
"Mr Duke has been dux of his year since he started at Girton in prep," Mr Maruff said.
"He is one of 33 students in the state to get 99.95.
"I feel enormously proud of this boy, but not just him, we know each of them really well.
"I feel a bit like I could cry because of it."
Joanne Grech, who taught Thomas in junior school, said he was an amazing boy that would one day change the world.
"He was not just focused on his education but community work and learning leadership skills. He is just a nice person too," she said.
