Mr Webster took over from Tweed Sutherland's Matt Leonard at the division meeting last night.
He has been a real estate agent for 15 years and began Webster Real Estate in 2012.
"We are a new agency that has been operating for about two years," he said. "I have always been in Bendigo and am looking forward to represent the REIV in our division."
As chairman Mr Webster will head up the Bendigo committee of REIV, oversee meets and represent the REIV at important days and functions.
"With this first meeting we will set the agenda for the year ahead and organise training from REIV for the year," he said.
"You have to be nominated for the position and I thought the chance would come sooner or later."
The REIV was formed in 1985 after the Real Estate and Stock Institute of Victoria (formed in 1936) merged with the Real Estate Agents Association (formed in 1955).
