POLICE have arrested a 25-year-old Echuca man following a series of burglaries and thefts targeting licensed venues in Victoria's east and west, and southern NSW.

The alleged burglaries took place in Kerang, Kyabram, Tatura and Benella in Victoria, and Moama, Mathoura and Barham in NSW between May 22 and November 5, 2014.
Detectives established a link between the incidents. The total value of stolen cash and damage is believed to be in excess of $250,000.
Search warrants were executed at two locations in Echuca on November 18, which resulted in the seizure of items believed to have been used during the burglaries.
The man arrested has been charged with 18 offences and has been bailed to appear in Echuca Magistrates' Court on December 16.
