Misa Eguchi, the 127th ranked player in the world, lost to Fangzhou Liu in three sets. 

Despite leading the count in points won, aces and break points consolidated, Eguchi wasn't able to win the match. 

Liu took out the first set, however Eguchi fought back to take the second. 

The Japanese star was looking like she would score the come-from-behind win, however she couldn't close out the match. 

Eguchi and Liu traded service breaks for most of the final set. 

Eguchai had a match point but couldn't convert, with final set tiebreak deciding who would go through to the semi-finals. 

Liu was able to keep keep her cool to win the tie 7-5 and win the match. 

The final score was 6-4, 2-6, 7-6.

Liu will now play-off for a spot in the championship final against countrywoman Zhaoxuan Yang. 

Yang made light work of eighth seed Alize Lim, cruising to a 6-2, 6-1 win. 

The 279th ranked player in the world hit almost double the amount of winners served down two aces. 

She also converted all five of her break point opportunities. 

Australian tennis star Jessica Moore's run in Bendigo ended after going down to Susanne Celik in three tough sets.

The Aussie was on a role this week after winning against Erika Sema and sixth seed Shuko Aoyama in consecutive days, but couldn’t match it with Celik.

Celik came out firing, quickly taking the first set 6-3, however Moore lifted her game in the second set.

The 24-year-old broke Celik’s serve early in the second set. 

Despite Celik putting on enormous pressure on Moore, she was able to hold her nerve to consolidate the break and win the set 6-3.

In the deciding set Celik was able to sway back the momentum and close out the game, winning the third set 6-2.

The Swedish ace, who made it to the semi-finals in the first Bendigo International Pro event last week, will be aiming to go one better, when she takes on Japanese player Risa Ozaki on Saturday.

Ozaki, the tournament’s fifth seed, needed just two sets to win against Varatchaya Wongteanchai, however both sets were closely fought.

The first set went for more than an hour, with Ozaki winning 6-4.

She then broke Wongteanchai in the sixth game of the second set before serving out the match, winning 6-3.

Semi-final matches will begin at 11am on Saturday with the championship final to be played at 11.30am on Sunday at the Bendigo Tennis Complex.
