The Roos and Demons’ round four game will hit-off at 3.30pm over the next two Saturdays.
The Roos and Demons previously played in a day-night one-day game two years ago, but this will be the first time a two-day BDCA match will be played under lights.
The BDCA had previously planned to play a Bendigo v Eaglehawk game as a two-day day-night match at the QEO in round 12 of the 2008-09 season, but both days were heated out and not a ball was bowled.
One of the biggest points of intrigue in the game will be what influence the pink Kookaburra ball has.
“We had a bit of a go at training this week with the pink balls and it’s totally different to the red and white balls,” Kangaroo Flat opening bowler Brent Hamblin said.
“They are extremely hard, so it will be interesting to see if they end up soft like the white ball or stay hard.”
Like Hamblin, White Hills captain Rhys Irwin will also get the opportunity to bowl with the new pink ball.
“Hopefully, we can get it to swing around a bit and get some movement off the pitch,” Irwin said.
Kangaroo Flat and White Hills are among a group of six teams that have 1-2 records heading into round four of the BDCA season.
