They have decorated butterflies for the crafts section and ventured into the kitchen to show off their cooking skills.
Teacher Gael Kelly said the Bendigo Show gave students a sensory experience, exploring different textures and using their fine motor skills.
They then get the added pleasure of visiting the show on Friday to view their and other schools' work.
Ms Kelly said the butterflies this year were better than those from the previous year. She said there was some stiff competition within the school itself about whose butterfly was the best.
"We are all friends, but it's every man for himself," Ms Kelly said.
Brendan Kellet, 14, made clinker slice which he shared with a few lucky school mates and the Bendigo Advertiser on Monday afternoon.
The slice will be taken to the show on Thursday for judging.
His teacher Carly Barnes said they were in a hurry while making the slice and she was impressed how quickly Brendan worked.
The school offers cooking classes each week for students to learn life skills.
The lessons include a trip to the supermarket with a list of groceries they have to buy.
Teachers encourage students to try new foods and get their hands dirty in the cooking process.
The Bendigo Agricultural Show runs from 9am to 9pm this Friday and Saturday at the showgrounds. To buy tickets, visit bendigoshow.org.au or call 5444 4646.
