The BTA is in the running for the Most Outstanding Australian Ranking Points event and Most Outstanding Professional Tournament.
Finalists will gather at the Newcombe Medal presentation on November 24 at the Crown Palladium Ballroom.
The Newcombe Medal, is awarded to Australia’s most outstanding elite tennis player for the year.
The Bendigo TA was nominated for Most Outstanding Professional Tournament for its delivery of the 2013 Bendigo Festival of Tennis from October 20 to November 5.
Bendigo was nominated for the Most Outstanding Australian Ranking Points tournament for the 2014 McDonald's Classi held from April 5 to 9.
“The BTA pride itself on the delivery of large scale tournaments and events.” said BTA executive officer Leon Retallick
“To be a finalist at the national awards is a great reward for the many hours of hard work, which the BTA executive and committees invest into each and every event we deliver at the Bendigo Bank tennis complex.” he added.
The Bendigo Festival of Tennis included back-to-back womens $50,000 ITF Challenge events. Both titles were won by Casey Dellacqua.
