Bendigo Bank is commemorating its 10th year as an Orchestra Victoria sponsor and is delighted Bendigo audiences will have the chance to hear iconic classical songs.
Community engagement executive Robert Musgrove said Saturday's performance would be a harmonic celebration.
"Bendigo Bank is thrilled to be celebrating a decade as principal regional partner of Orchestra Victoria," he said.
"Over the years our sponsorship has helped bring the orchestra to people around the state who might not otherwise have had the opportunity to attend a concert.
"And we've helped the orchestra to tutor hundreds of aspiring young musicians, who, again, might never have had the chance to work with top professional musicians.
"Saturday night's performance in Bendigo will be a very special occasion."
Bendigo Bank's sponsorship helps fund the orchestra's On the mOVe program, which involves members of the orchestra tutoring secondary students in two-day workshops, free of charge.
The most recent Bendigo workshops took place on August 6 and 7.
The bank also sponsors the group to enable it to travel to regional Victoria and enable it to better fulfill its charter as an orchestra for the entire state.
Saturday night's concert will be led by guest concertmaster Adam Chalabi and violin soloist Emily Sheppard.
Adam Chalabi held the position of concertmaster of Orchestra Victoria between 2009 – 2012, before moving into the role of artistic director in 2013.
He is first violinist of the Tinalley String Quartet, which has performed to critical acclaim all over the world.
Emily studies in Hobart with Peter Tanfield.
Her past studies include the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School and The Australian National Academy of Music.
