Bride: Stacy Henman
Wedding date: July 12, 2014
The wedding day
It was a beautiful sunny winter’s day out at Wellsford Forest Retreat. Nick was quite nervous leading up to the ceremony.
Nick was supported by his three mates, Corey Talbot the best man along with Luke Farrar and Shane Gledhill, and I had my sister Kimberley Henman and friends Chloe Frost and Suzy Pryse. We also had twin flower girls, Porsha and Skylar. Chloe, a graphic designer, did an amazing job designing our invites and programs.
The ceremony was performed by Stacy’s grandfather, a retired Salvation Army officer. The ceremony was sweet, family centered and full of laughs; Nanna thinking that Poppy had forgotten to ask for the rings and Stacy getting totally confused between left and right.
With around 70 friends and family, the day was relaxed and full of love. The reception was also held out at Wellsford Forest Retreat. The excellent food was prepared and served by Two Sisters Catering. The guests loved the lolly buffet as well as the flower arrangements and decorations by Miranda at Eternal Vase.
The outfits
The bride and bridesmaids were in dresses from Cinderella Dresses in Eaglehawk. Hair styling was done at Ma Voie Hair Lounge and make-up by Brash and Bold; both did an outstanding job.
The groom and his men were dressed by Mel at Man to Man. She did well getting them to feel comfortable and have a laugh.
The cake
The delicious cake was done by Mynette and her team at Cafe Essence. The cake toppers were extra special, figurines of our pets; Brandi, Alice (our dogs) and Bug (our cat). The dogs were designed to be holding a flower in our wedding colours.
The photographer
Katherine Davis Photography with Simone Jayne Photography helped out with the ceremony and group shots.
The honeymoon
We spent a week exploring Tasmania.
